Need More Incentives to Save Water?

As mentioned in a previous posting, California is in a serious state of drought and there are many ways (some very easy and inexpensive, some not-so-easy and perhaps more expensive) we can do our part to reduce our waste of this vital resource.

In an effort to educate the public on this matter, the Association of California Water Agencies and the California Department of Water Resources have started a major campaign, placing ads on television, radio, and the web.

The website http://www.saveourh2o.org/ provides all kinds of information, including water saving tips for the indoors and outdoors, ways for kids to get involved, and a huge list of rebates available for water (and energy) efficient devices. So if the idea of our water supplies drying up isn't enough of an incentive for you to start making some significant lifestyle changes, hopefully the thought of saving money on your water and energy bills will encourage you to seriously consider these options.

And speaking of saving money, http://www.gogreenmug.com/ is celebrating Mother's Day by offering a huge discount of 20% on all orders through May 16, 2009. Simply enter coupon code: grnmom2day at checkout, and the discount will be applied. So design a mug for Mom today, or send her a gift certificate (the discount applies to gift certificates, too) and she can design one for herself. Thanks for reading our blog this week, and if any of you has any other water or energy saving tips you'd like to share, please feel free to post a comment or send a message to support@gogreenmug.com. Have a great week!
